For three weeks in August, Tony Lopresti will work with young people in Dakar, Senegal to explore combining classical mime with Senegalese movement, theatre and music traditions to delve into environmental issues facing the West African nation. “Music, movement and silence are common to all cultures,” Tony said. “It’s thrilling to use those elemental expressions to try to find the common roots that give rise to our universal human aspirations.”

Hosted by the Ecumenical Community of Taizé and Ak Benn.

A Gospel Without Words project.
