About the Project
Tony joined violinist Jeremy Rhizor and the musicians and singers of the Academy of Sacred Drama in November for three performances of Antonio Gianettini’s L’huomo in bivio (Man at the Crossroad). This American premiere of the oratorio featured extraordinary baroque musicians and singers in a powerful and beautiful story about a man torn between his Guardian Angel and a Demon. With an angel mask on the back of his head and a devil mask on his face, Tony gave a simultaneous physical interpretation of the Angel and of the Demon.
During the summer of 2019, Tony began a collaboration with the company to add movement and gesture to the oratorio during a weeklong retreat at Avaloch Farm Music Institute.
